Clickable was founded in 2006 in New York City by serial entrepreneurs David S. Kidder and Munish Gandhi. Prior to founding Clickable, David and Munish founded SmartRay Network, a mobile advertising delivery pioneer. The company's management team previously worked in some of the world's leading technology and media companies, like Google, Microsoft, AOL, LexisNexis, Nielsen and NetSuite.

Clickable's advertising solutions have helped thousands of businesses grow. Along the way, the company has received numerous awards, such as: Small Business Computing Excellence In Technology; Interactive Media Awards Best Computer Software; Always on Newcomer Of The Year; Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year; TechCrunch 40 Finalist; and Google Partner Honoree; among many others.

Clickable is backed by venture-capital firms and private investors. In December 2007, Clickable completed its Series A round of investment, led by FirstMark Capital and Union Square Ventures, totaling $6 million. This round included investments from strategic individual investors Peter Thiel, Managing Partner of The Founders Fund and Co-founder of PayPal, and Jonathan F. Miller, Chairman/CEO of Digital for News Corp. Clickable completed in July 2008 its Series B round of financing, raising an additional $14.5 million, led by Founders Fund, with additional backing from existing investors Union Square Ventures and FirstMark Capital.
